On Wednesday we wrote our letters to Santa. We told him what we wanted for Christmas and drew a picture for him. On Friday we put all of our letters in a big envelope, addressed it to Santa at the North Pole, and walked to the post office in Guardian Drugs to mail it. We made a big line and passed the letter up the line to our special helper, who put it in the mailbox. The last stop on our walk was Sobey's, who graciously donated cookies for snack time. Morning ClassAfternoon ClassBoth morning and afternoon classes created Santas by ripping paper. This is a tricky art activity for our young students as they have to work slowly and really use those fine motor skills! I love doing this art project as each Santa turns out so differently, and the children work very hard to make their Santa just right.
